Ananda Guest House

Welcome to the ANANDA Guesthouse.  


The ANANDA guesthouse is located one home (or a about a 30 second walk) from the beach in Ocean Park (OP) Maine which is about midpoint of the 7 mile stretch of beach from Saco Bay to Pine Point.  OP is a special, well-loved slice of heaven on earth that is held dearly by those who have had the great fortune of visiting and experiencing its splendor first hand.   OP's history of community, family and fun are still first and foremost.  Arriving in OP is best described as a trip back in time, except that there is now Green Mountain Coffee at the deli and Wi-Fi in the cottages.  OP is a place for families and friends to come together rejuvenate, relax and have fun.  There are many enjoyable activities and events right in OP and it is perfectly located to walk (beach or road), ride a bike or drive the 1 mile to the Old Orchard Beach Pier, carnival, shops, restaurants and entertainment.  OP is also less than 30 minutes to Portland, Kennebunkport and about 40 minutes to Ogunquit, Freeport and the outlet stores in Kittery. 


Ananda was built in the 1880’s (originally named The Doe Cottage) and has been used as vacation rental property since constructed.  Ananda houses 4 studio type apartments on the ground level inclusive of kitchens and bathrooms.  The main portion of the house offers rental bedrooms with single toilets and sinks.  Common spaces for sharing include a single shower on the top floor, a single tub on the top floor and a standalone shower on the ground floor as well as the kitchen, dining area, den and porch.  


The Ananda guest house exemplifies the experience of time standing still in OP.  The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable and the decor is vintage but effective.  It is a cottage that exudes comfort, character and charm, giving you a feeling of visiting your beloved grandma at the beach.  


Everyone is welcome.  We are glad to see you and hope you join us on the porch for conversation, a game of cards, to work on a puzzle or to simply sit back and relax and enjoy the location.
